Sta. Barbara at the forefront of agri-modernization
The province of Pangasinan has long been known as the food basket of Luzon. It supplies almost half or 40 percent of the lowland vegetable needs of Metro Manila, the bulk of milkfish (bangus) needs of Luzon, a large surplus of rice and corn shipped out to grains-short parts of the country and rivals Nueva Ecija and the Ilocos provinces in growing a wide range of spices that include garlic, onions and pepper.more……

Sta. Barbara, Fast becoming Pangasinan’s Ayala-Alabang
If there is one strategically located town in Pangasinan, it is Sta. Barbara.
It lies at the center of a province with 45 towns and four cities where over three million people live.
Fifteen kilometers to the west is the old commercial hub of the province, the seaside City of Dagupan. A town away to the south is San Carlos City. Nearby Sta.
